NY Louie & Friends take top honors for “Best Remake”!

The NMMIA “MIC” Awards proved again that NY Louie & Friends really are “STARS” by awarding “Best Remake” honors for their up-beat version of “On Broadway”.

Original recording members: Louie (NY Louie) Guzman, Reggy Marks, Henry Velasquez, Chris Allen, Josh English, Henry Weinbeck, and Michael O’Brien; along with local players Wayne Johnson and Vivian Fernandez (who form the core local group with Louie and Chris); and special guest Jeff Kashiwa - are all to be congratulated for their efforts in moving the group ahead and gaining recognition as one of the best groups in Albuquerque.

We are pleased to announce a VERY special event! The New Mexico Jazz Workshop is going to sponsor a night of “Salsa and Merengue” with NY Louie & Friends. Come here one of your favorite bands kick it up a notch for a night under the stars. The proceeds from the event will benefit the NM Jazz Workshop summer dance series events. Please support NY Louie & Friends AND the New Mexico Jazz Workshop - come and have a great night dancing under the stars at the Albuquerque Museum of Art on JULY 16th. Come for a great night of entertainment and bring your friends!!!
